Regular Exercise
The modern world we live in is full of technology which provides little opportunity for physical exertion. We travel in cars, trains, buses, and use a wide range of various devices and implements which help to reduce the workload in our everyday lives.
Very few people make any serious effort to exercise regularly. Our bodies need exercise and just as important it needs to be regular. Many of the diseases that are commonly known today are partly caused by the fact that most of us do not exercise enough. However how much is good for us and how often should we exercise. The most sensible rule for exercise is, it should never hurt. Pain is our body's way of saying stop, and therefore if you choose to ignore the pain and attempt to battle on you will almost certainly cause injury.
Exercise is vitally important in that it can and will improve your health. It is undoubtedly one of the best ways of fighting damaging effects of anxiety and worry. It can also help to keep your joints supple and delay the onset of such diseases as Arthritis. Exercise can reduce the tension in the muscles around the head, preventing tension headaches. A good exercise program will help to ensure that blood does not stagnate in the veins, which can improve the circulation, preventing cold feet and hands, also varicose veins. Just the sheer physical tiredness from exercising, also makes for a better nights sleep. It will help to tone muscles, making you look and feel slimmer. Your heart will strengthen thus reducing the chances of suffering heart diseases. Staying cheerful and fighting bouts of sadness or mild depression can also be overcome from regular exercise.
So there are many good reasons for participating in regular sensible exercise. There is no need to over exert oneself, but it is important to set aside genuine time for proper organized exercise, otherwise you will more than likely find excuses for not doing it. My suggestion would be to have three sessions a week of about half to one hour each, this would be quite sufficient, but you may want to start with less and build up slowly. Remember no pain goes with less chance of injury.
