3 Unbeatable Lower Abs Exercises

Are you at that stage where you're fairly proud or getting prouder of your body? You work out regularly and look better than you did last month and better still than the month before..BUT you still have a niggling wobbly bit at the lower end of your midsection? This is when you tend to find yourself hunting high and low for some great lower abs exercises.

It has to be said that no matter who you ask or where you look..even though you have been tirelessly grafting away at the gym or on the road or on your bike! Whatever or Wherever! Ultimately to have a completely flat, lean, sexy stomach you have to have some form of control over your calorie intake!

However, you didn't come here to be told that..sorry! So here just for you - 3 unbeatable lower abs exercises. Complete 15-25 repetitions of each exercise and perform as a tri-set. Go for a total of 3-6 tri-sets depending on your fitness levels:

1. The Reverse Crunch - set a bench at a 45 degree angle and lie back. Place your hands behind your head and grasp the top of the bench. Make sure your legs and feet are together. Then raise your lower body off the bench - your lower back, your bum, you legs and feet..but ensure you use your abs to pull and not your arms.

2. Swiss Ball Rollout - Kneel on the floor and place your hands in the centre of a swiss ball in front of you. Roll your arms over the ball as far as your elbows, leaning forward, but keeping your lower legs on the floor. You should feel a stretch throughout your entire midsection. You can also complete this exercise with an ab-roller or a light barbell.

3. Reverse Ball Crunches - Sit on a swiss ball and roll yourself down it until just your lower back is touching the ball and grab a sturdy platform behind you with your hands. Raise and lower your legs and feet in the same motion as the reverse crunch.

Performing these exercises at this intensity will give you a great burn throughout your abs. The truth is whether you are looking for upper, lower or side abs exercises, if you train your abs properly you will exercise all the muscles together anyway.
